Biography
Dr Sanjay Gadre, our founder and the Chief Ophthalmologist needs no introduction. He started his journey in Ophthalmology at Govt Medical College, Nagpur followed by a Fellowship in Vitreo Retinal Surgery with the renowned Dr PN Nagpal at Retina Foundation, Ahmedabad.
He initially served at the Ranchhod Dasji Bapu Ashram Eye Hospital as their Ophthalmologist. He then joined the Ghiya Charitable Trust Eye Hospital. The faith that the people of Saurashtra reposed in Dr Gadre compelled him to make Rajkot his Karma Bhoomi and thus began a journey towards excellence in eyecare in the form of Gadre Eye Care Centre.
Dr Gadre received training in advanced sutureless cataract surgery (Phacoemulsification) at Tokyo, Japan, way back in 1991 when Phacoemuslfication surgery was in its early days, not only in India but the world.
His career in ophthalmology chronicles not only his personal progress but the progress of Ophthalmology and being a firm believer in keeping up with the times he has always adapted to and added advanced technology to the services at Gadre Eye Care Centre.
He continues to steer our hospital towards further summits of excellence and dedication to patient care.
